Description
The CONSTRUCTOR™ Series of Mechanical Dock Levelers improve productivity with strength, convenience and reliability. Equipped with the industries most reliable holdown and all the standard features you need for your busy loading dock. The ergonomic walkout lip extension, minimal parts and adjustments make for the most effective and affordable mechanical dock leveler available. Offered in capacity ratings from 25,000 to 45,000 lbs in increments of 5,000 lbs.... and standard nominal sizes of 6 & 7 feet wide x 6 & 8 feet long. Standard features include welded structural side guards, night security locks, integral maintenance support, safety black & yellow side skirt labels, and two heavy-duty dock bumpers.
Operation
The operator releases the holdown at the rear of the platform until the deck is raised and stopped. The operator walks the platform down extending the lip onto the truck bed. The deck will float up and down and cant side to side with the truck during loading. The standard 16” long lip will extend out and engage a truck bed 12” above and below floor level.
Construction
Unitized platform structure with 33% dual side beam to deck weld pattern and continuous welds at the header plate and hinge tubes for superior strength. The deck plate, lip plate and beam sections are constructed of minimum 50-55,000 PSI yield material. The fixed rear hinge provides 4” of side-to-side tilt with no pinch point. The frame has a minimum of five solid steel rear supports, five hinge connections and a full width rear hinge rod. The open design frame provides for simple pit cleaning and the security lock system prevents illegal entry when the door is closed. The front and rear hinge rods are constructed of SAE 1045 superior shaft and are factory coated with anti-seize lubricant.
