Construction
The platform is a unitized welded structure with continuous welds at the beam, header plate and hinge tube connections for maximum strength. The deck plate, lip plate, beam sections and hinge tubes are constructed of minimum 50-55,000 PSI yield material. The fixed rear hinge provides 4" of side-to-side tilt with no pinch point. The frame has seven solid steel rear supports, five hinge connections and a full width rear hinge rod.
The open frame design provides for easy pit cleaning, and a night lock prevents illegal entry when the door is closed. The front and rear hinge rods are SAE 1045 material and are factory coated with anti-seize lubricant.
Operation
The operator releases the holdown at the rear of the platform until the deck is raised and stopped. The operator walks the platform down extending the lip onto the truck bed. The deck will float up and down with the truck during loading. The standard 16" long lip will extend out and engage a truck bed 12" above and below floor level.
Warranty
NORDOCK guarantees that the HEAVY-METAL™ Series Dock Levelers will perform as described and to the full satisfaction of the purchaser for one-year from date of receipt or NORDOCK will repair, replace or remove the product and refund the purchase price. In addition, structural components are guaranteed for ten years under specific guidelines.
